Today 26th Oct 2025: Thousands welcome the body of the Late Bishop Charles Martin Wamika from Iganga town to CMS at St. Peter Claver parish Iganga. These were headed by the Katukiro of Busoga Dr. Joseph Muvawala, the Vicar General of Jinja: Msgr. Benedict Wakabi who were moving on foot together with mourners. These began moving on foot from Iganga town, crowds included students of St. Patrick Kigulu girls, St. Francis Kigulu, Iganga Technical institute and then Christians as they moved on the highway with deep love for the late Bishop. Thanks to Uganda police for guiding mourners on foot to reduce on the traffic jam on Iganga Jinja highway. Bishop Wamika will be buried on Tuesday 28th Oct 2025 at Rubaga Cathedral following his death on 22nd Oct 2025 after a long illness. Rest in peace
