On October 12, 2025, the Diocese of Jinja held its annual diocesan pilgrimage to Kyebando-Mayuge, the birthplace of St. Matia Mulumba. Thousands of pilgrims attended Mass at the shrine, with the main celebrant being The Rt. Rev. Dominic Eibu MCCJ, Bishop of Kotido. Rt. Hon. Rukia Isanga Nakadama, the Mayuge district woman Member of Parliament, the Third Deputy Prime Minister and minister without portfolio, also graced the occasion. In his words, the Bishop said that “…. How it could be nice that these pilgrimages in the diocese of Jinja become provincial and we are already there…that animation also becomes rotational in the province, we thank God that we have two martyrs born in our Ecclesiastical province, but I still pray that let this idea come from Bishops of the province..” He further thanked Iganga Deanery for the organization, together with Kyebando Parish.
